I wish you ENOUGH

A good pal of mine sent me this email and I wanted to share it with the world. I wish all of you who take the time to read this ENOUGH. I hope and pray we remember what's important and what life is all about......

Recently I overheard a Father and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure.
Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the Father said, 'I love you, and I wish you enough.'

The daughter replied, 'Dad, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed.. I wish you enough, too, Dad.'

They kissed and the daughter left. The Father walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see he wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on his privacy, but he welcomed me in by asking, 'Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?'

'Yes, I have,' I replied.. 'Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?'.

'I am old, and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is - the next trip back will be for my funeral,' he said.

'When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I wish you enough.' May I ask what that means?'
He began to smile. 'That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone..' He paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and he smiled even more. 'When we said, 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them.' Then turning toward me, he shared the following as if he were reciting it from memory.

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear..

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.

I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good- bye.

He then began to cry and walked away.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them; but then an entire life to forget them.

Christmas in Wyo

We went up to my parents house for Christmas, we decided since the kiddos are still little it might be one of out last up there. here are a few photos sorry a little out of order.

Christmas eve family annual party

Every year Eric's grandma "moore" has all her kids and grandkids over on Christmas Eve for the family christmas party. The kids draw names and exchange gifts, Grandma always gives the kids gifts plus money. and the adults play white elephant exchange. We also always eat soup and bread bowls, with yummy salads and some kind of dessert. This year was Clam chowder and Chicken Noodle soup!
Santa came too. Victory at first was watching him like wow, then she was doing circles and showing off, but then she got to sit on his lap and that ended!

We had our family photos for the year taken behind the fair grounds in Spanish. Tiffany Jackson did them, she did good considering the fact Victory hadn't napped and she was a little stink. For some reason I just love this picture it seems so worry free. I can't stop looking at it, I just keep opening the folder to look at it over and over again.

Victory was being a little stink right here so I had to walk her away to get her to cooperate. I had to promise her yogart from her favorite place so I could get her to smile.

A couple of weeks ago we were in WYO doing a birthday party for Wes at Aunt Jessies house and Aunt Jeana asked me to take a few shots of their family before Austin leaves for his mission. I really enjoy taking pictures. However I don't edit because I feel it takes away from the natural talent of the photographer. Here a few of my favorite shots!

Victory's first pumpkin carving

The other day we decided to let Victory carve her own pumpkin. It was the cutest thing. She didn't really know what to think at first but then daddy showed her how to dig the gunk out and she was pulling it right out of the pumpkin. Victory really didn't like the feel of it so when she would get some on her fingers she would fling it and the seeds would go every where. She ended up with a few on her. Then she tried to eat a seed and decided it wasn't worth putting in to her mouth. Thanks Aunt Tiffy and Uncle Matt for growing her this pumpkin. She really enjoyed it.

This was the finished product. We carved only one tooth cause that's all Vic has so far.

A long past due update....

I'm sorry it's been a long time since I've posted or updated on the family... Victory turned 1 on Sept 6th, we had a party for her at my mom's house and she got soooo many new toys. She loves to play with them all. Wes like just the 4 wheeler and this duck Matt and Tiff gave her, it sings the ABC's in a quacking voice. Eric and I had her first year pictures taken with CheapShots here is Spanish Fork the girl did such an amazing job. And Vic was so good she just loves when someone else takes her picture and not her mom.

Victory is my pride and joy and I can't believe I waited as long as I have to have kids. She makes my world and my life complete. She brings joy and happiness to her father I know that. He said I wouldn't change the way my life is right now, it was the sweetest thing. She melts his heart.

Sunflowers

In the corner of the yard I looked out and found these pretty sunflowers. You have to understand that my back yard is more of a jungle than a pretty place to enjoy the outdoors. We haven't done one thing to it yet. But I love flowers, I'm just not the type to keep them alive. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do...

I wanted to cut them and bring them into the house for a center piece but as you can see there was too many BEES. Yikes

ZOO

This past Sunday we went to the Zoo for my birthday, it's been awhile since I've been, I've forgotten how cruel a zoo really is. I guess it's a great learning experience for the kids though. I really enjoyed the outside sun and the tiger I think was my favorite. Here are a few pictures of our day....

How can you not think this is one of the most amazing animals ever. I think when I get to heaven this will be my pet. Or a lion maybe I just wanted to rub my hands threw his hair.

Victory is doing this thing where she will not let you take her picture...

Victory wanted to play with the KITTY KITTY. She says tttttttt. When he started to walk away she would scream, when he would come closer she would turn around and grab me.

I think this was some small lion of some sort we told her it looked more like grandma's BUD kitty kitty. She keeped on opening and shutting her hand and going aaahh ahhh

Victory loves her Grandma. But for some reason this was the only time she would let her hold her that day. She wanted Aunt Jessie. Which only made Jessie that much more proud.

VICTORY is getting so big she is 10 months today but here are some of her milestones..

She's learned how to CRAWL...

She thinks the night stand is a toy to CLIMB on...

She has found the TUPPER WARE cupboard...

I've had so much fun watching her grow and become so smart. Victory make life worth living and everyday she grows she makes my heart swell more. I love this little girl even when she has attitude....

My morning yesterday was quite crappy. I was trying to lock Meeka up in the garage cause she doesn't stay in the nicely new fenced backyard. She decided to run from me I caught her then tried to throw her back under the door and she kept fighting me. After I beat the hell out of her she didn't want anything to do with me so I threw her in to the car. Then she jumped and I went to get her and fell. ( Keep in mind I am in a dress and I do have high heels on) Well after I twisted my ankle and fell and skinned my knees I have a sprained ankle and a torn ligement. Not fun I think I would have rather broke it so I could get some good drugs to take away the pain! Well the swellings not to bad but can't clean the house like I wanted to.

Victory was a little turd today. We went to get her pictures taken in her blessing dress today, since it was Mother's Day and I wanted them done. She didn't like the photographer, and she wanted nothing ot do with smiling. After about an hour of working with her to try and get her to smile this is about all we got.

Before we got up to the camping spot... Well actually after Joe finally found a spot to camp... we pulled over at a rest stop so we could wait to tell Justin which way we were headed. I got Vic out to give her a bottle, but she was more into driving and playing than eatting. I took out the camera and got this.... CHEESE

She is so alert and wise. I can't believe how she can grow and learn new things. She is into everything and she's not even crawling yet. Can't wait to see how many times I'll have to tell her no when she starts to walk. My baby is 8 months and I'm so happy to have her in my life. She brings me joy and happiness everyday. Her daddy is already heart broken. He can't tell her no....

We went up to Starvation in Spanish Fork Canyon to ride 4-wheelers, eat good grub, relax, and have a good time. Even though we got rained out it was nice to get up in the mountains and enjoy the fresh clean air.

She is growing up so fast, My baby girl is finally 6 months, I can't believe how much time has flown by. Eric said she has changed so much.

Moving

It's official we have finally moved in to our new home. Well at least our stuff in there in the garage. Can't say we are completely moved in just yet. It's crazy messy. I haven't quite figured out how I had all this stuff in my 1700 square foot home now its 4000 and I don't know where to put everything.

This is the kitchen and living room area, we are bringing in one box at a time. That way we can stay a little organized. This is the 3 car garage with all the stuff in it. Now do you see my dilemma? Don't know where all that is going to go.

AHHHH, my beautiful new house. This is the front of it. No there is no yard and yes we will be putting it in. That's not going to be much fun but at least it'll be our design. We get the fence this week yeah for Meeka, she won't have to stay in a small 6 x 6 pen any more.

I'm so blessed and thankful for my husband and how hard he works for us to have nice things. I am truly grateful for his effort in making me happy. Love you hunny!!!

A little behind

Okay guys I'm sorry for being a little slow on getting caught up with my blog. I've been crazy busy, plus Matt and Tiff don't really have the Internet so it's hard for me to do an update.

*First Eric is finally home and if you have been keeping up with Lex she has told you all about our morning of him landing. She only forgot to mention that mom was freaked out cause I started to drive faster to get there when he called to say I've landed. You all know how traffic is in the morning in SLC so you can only imagine. But anyways it's been so nice for us to have our family back together. It's been a long year and we are happy it's finally over. For all of you who don't know Eric did resign with the military and he is planning on making a career out of it. We may or we may not see another deployment, but what ever happens we support his decision.

*Second as you all know we sold our house and are living with Matt and Tiff. It's been nice to know that we have a wonderful family who will take us in and put a roof over our heads. THANKS is never going to be enough. It's been a long 2 months waiting for the VA to approve our home. Finally we get to close and own a new home. We close today and we are so excited. I think mom is ready to get rid of Meeka. She sure has been naughty the last few weeks. For those of you who want to help us move from a storage until well actually 2 storage units we will be doing it this weekend. Just give me a call. Thanks.

There is this girl I work with (Amber) she has this cute little puppy, she named him Rupert. Victory loves dogs, well really anything she can touch and grab, and eat. Robert was holding her and Rupert came over to check her out, he was licking her face. We think it had to do with the milk-stach she had going on, that or he was like wow you are close to my size! It was the cutest thing. She loved it. She just wanted to play with him all day.

Matt and Susan came down a couple weekends ago and the cute boys Tay and Bray were running around screaming, then Joe took them to the firestation. Carrots

St George and Mesquite

We went to St George this weekend for our yearly trip to Fireschool and we had to hit the road to Mesquite and test our luck. Victory and Wes were so good, The slept almost the whole way down with only one stop to eat and to play for a minute or two and then on the way home they slept all the way until we hit Payson, Santaquin area! Lex and I were so proud. We even stopped in Beaver for treats and bathroom break. Here's some pictures of our eventful weekend.

A lot of you have asked why the name Victory.... Well first if you have ever seen the TV show Lipstick Jungle and the cute little Vietnamese girl or maybe she is Asian? I don't know anyway, her name is Victory. It's kinda cute. Well that's not where her name came from but that is the first time I've heard it.

We were deciding on names with the family and Eric said well if it's a boy we should name him Victory, because a lot of people name their boys Harley after their motorcycles. Well I didn't like the idea of my boy being named after a girly name so we decided we would name her Victory if she was a girl after her daddy's motorcycle.

But Uncle Justin thinks her name should be because her daddy is trying get get us a Victory with serving his country. So in a way her name has two very meaningful meanings.

It's so amazing how your life changes with just one small little person. She sure makes you love life more and makes you believe in wonderful miracles. I never would have thought that a small little creature, (who looks just like her daddy) could make your heart swell. I love being a mom and I love having my little family.

We have quite the story to tell... Daddy came home for his two week leave from Afghanistan and Mommy's cervix wasn't ready so the doctor wouldn't start here. But Eric flew in on the 4th and my water broke on the 5th and after 16 excruciating hours of labor and only pushing a total of 8 times here she is. Perfect!

Victory Michelle Solie was born on Sept 6th 2008. She is mommy's pride and joy. And daddy's little princess
